Ballet4Wellbeing Featured on Channel 9

A Milestone Moment for Ballet4Wellbeing

We are incredibly proud to share that Ballet4Wellbeing has been featured on Channel 9 News, shining a national spotlight on the life-changing impact of our seated ballet programs for older Australians. This feature marks a significant milestone in our journey and highlights the growing recognition of the positive difference movement, music and connection can make in aged care.

More Than Exercise

At Ballet4Wellbeing, we believe that ballet is far more than dance, it is a powerful way to reconnect people with joy, dignity and purpose.

Our specialised seated ballet programs are designed for older adults, including those living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease and reduced mobility.

Every session combines:

🌸 Beautiful classical music

🩰 Gentle ballet-inspired movements

❤️ Social connection and laughter

🧠 Cognitive stimulation

💪 Improved mobility, posture and coordination

The result is something truly special: residents smiling, singing, remembering and moving together.

Capturing Real Moments

Channel 9 visited one of our regular sessions at Mercy Health, where they witnessed first-hand the joy experienced by residents participating in Ballet4Wellbeing.

The cameras captured genuine moments of happiness, engagement and connection that perfectly reflect why Sandrine Delasalle and Aurélien Scannella founded Ballet4Wellbeing.

Seeing residents move with confidence, laugh together and reconnect through music was a wonderful reminder of the power of meaningful movement.

A Growing Movement

Since launching Ballet4Wellbeing, we have proudly delivered hundreds of sessions across Western Australia and continue to expand into Victoria.

We are honoured to partner with aged care providers, community organisations and councils that share our vision of improving the wellbeing of older Australians through innovative, evidence-informed programs.

This Channel 9 feature represents another important step in raising awareness about the importance of physical activity, creativity and social engagement in healthy ageing.
